Objective, sequence, then self-check
Every lesson uses the same structure, so the decision, the limit, and the sources are in the same place.

One objective
The lesson names a single prehospital decision and who the teaching is for. Reading plus the self-check is written for 15 minutes or less. There are 37 lessons in each of five categories.

A field sequence
The body states what to look for, what to do first, and which hospital treatments are named so they are not started in the field. Drug amounts, energy, and procedures stay on local protocol.

Sources and a self-check
The quiz uses only that lesson. The source list sits above the quiz. A teaching target is not a standing order. When a named guideline and a local protocol disagree, protocol and medical direction decide care.

What a lesson covers
Recognize the problem, support the airway and circulation, state the finding, and choose a destination. Drug amounts, device settings, and procedures stay on local protocol and medical direction.
Hospital treatments are named as limits
Some lessons name hospital care, including anti-thyroid drugs, escharotomy, fibrinolysis, and high-dose insulin. Those names mark a boundary. They are not field orders on this site.

The set includes AHA 2025, the 2025 ACS guideline, 2026 stroke and pulmonary embolism guidance, Surviving Sepsis Campaign 2026, Brain Trauma Foundation 2023 prehospital TBI guidance, and the NASEMSO 2022 model EMS guidelines. A teaching target is not a standing dose.

What is Code 3 Workshop?
Code 3 Workshop is a free paramedic course library: 185 lessons in airway, cardiac, medical, medications, and trauma. Each lesson states one objective, a field sequence, named sources, and a self-check. Practice tools cover ECG recognition, documentation, and unit conversion.
Are these lessons clinical protocols or medical orders?
No. Everything on Code 3 Workshop is education and demonstration only — not a medical device, not medical direction, and not a substitute for local protocols or clinical care.
How long is each lesson?
Each session is built to finish in 15 minutes or less, including a check-your-understanding quiz drawn only from that lesson.

Does this award CE or CAPCE credit?
No. Lessons and tools do not award CE or CAPCE credit. They are study material only.
Can I enter a real patient into Narrative Coach or the other tools?
No. Never enter real names, addresses, dates of birth, or other patient information. CardioStrip, Narrative Coach, and the weight converter are study tools, not bedside devices and not an ePCR.
