A paramedic education library
A free course library for working paramedics, students, and EMS educators. Each lesson states one objective, a field sequence, named sources, and a self-check. It is study material. It is not a substitute for local protocol.
Code 3 Workshop is a free library of 185 prehospital lessons (fifteen minutes or less) plus interactive practice apps. Lessons teach recognition, decision frameworks, and team language, and stay protocol-bound. They are not clinical orders and not a medical device.

What is in the library
- Learn by Category — 185 lessons of 15 minutes or less (thirty-seven per category) across airway, cardiac, medical, meds, and trauma. Each ends with a check-your-understanding quiz drawn only from that lesson.
- EMS Toolkit — interactive apps such as CardioStrip (Lead II and teaching 12-lead practice), Narrative Coach (fictional ePCR writing drills), and a kg to lb weight converter.
How a lesson is written
Each lesson states one objective, a field sequence, common errors, and the sources used to write it. Examples include stable versus unstable tachycardia, DOPE-S, MARCH, and the categories of shock. The lesson explains how to think through the problem. It does not set the dose, the energy, or the procedure a service must use.
Clinical teaching follows current national guidelines named on each lesson, including AHA 2025 CPR/ECC, the NASEMSO 2022 National Model EMS Clinical Guidelines, the 2025 ACC/AHA/ACEP/NAEMSP/SCAI ACS guideline, the 2026 AHA/ASA acute ischemic stroke guideline, Surviving Sepsis Campaign 2026, the 2023 Brain Trauma Foundation prehospital TBI guideline, ACS 2021 field triage, ABA burn-center referral, TECC civilian hemorrhage control (TCCC is the military lineage, and it is not a typical 911 protocol package), the NAEMSP Prehospital Trauma Compendium (2024–2025), and other NAEMSP, ACEP, and ACS-COT EMS position statements. When a guideline and a local protocol disagree, protocol and medical direction decide care.
The study tools repeat a skill after the reading. Pair CardioStrip with the cardiac lessons, Narrative Coach with documentation practice, and the weight converter with the medication-safety lessons. The converter changes units. It does not calculate a dose.
